Colombia - 2018

 On a whirlwind trip between graduating college and starting my first full-time job, I spent two weeks in Bogota, Colombia researching the capital city’s conflict management strategies. I learned a lot about negotiation and ate more delicious food than I ever had in my life, but my favorite thing about this trip was simply walking around the city and finding hidden gems on every corner. Bogota taught me that you can learn a lot about a city from the art on its streets. For every graffiti mural or sticker on a stop sign, there is someone who thought it was important enough to put there.

I’ve never walked down a city street the same way since.
